A plunge into the past, when the powerful Republic of Venice built its own perfect fortress: the tour begins at the underground tunnels and at the Baluardo Donato, before continuing into the majestic parade ground, Piazza Grande, the hub of town life and finally to the Cathedral.

Summer Concerts 2026 – “Pierino and the wolf”
As part of the theatre festival “Verdid’Estate”, the programme Wednesday 5 August in the garden of Palazzo De Grazia the performance by actors “Pierino and the wolf”, based on the musical fairy tale by Sergei Prokofiev and staged by the Aida Foundation for an audience of families and children aged 4 years and over. ESYO – United Together, for a Europe of good friends – Gorizia/Nova Gorica
On Saturday 8 August, Piazza Transalpina will provide the backdrop for the event, which will see the young musicians of the ESYO – European Spirit of Youth Orchestra – parade through the streets of Gorizia and Nova Gorica, starting and finishing in Piazza Europa (formerly Piazza Transalpina), which has become a symbol of the union between the two cities.
